Why you need a pair of Toms Trunks

I am obsessed with these things. They have a power over me money not sense can explain (as my bank account will testify). So why I am I wedded to my Tom’s Trunks or just trunks as we cool kids call them.

Number 1: The comfort, they’re like wearing pyjamas which are socially acceptable. Could I do my Tesco shop in checked tartan bottoms? No no I could not. Olive T’s you bet you. And it feels like I’m still at home. They are good trousers I’ll tell you that for free.

Number 2: People think they’re smart enough to be worn for work. I was complimented on them for being fun and the right balance of work wear (bear in mind this is a social company so anything goes but still) they bridge the gap between total madness and turning up in joggers to full on formal work wear. I’m a fan.

Number 3: colours. I like bright colours, I like funky. And these tick the box - I feel like I’m bringing gap year not quite gap year to coffee shops in york and I’m so here for it.

Number 4: gap year trousers minus the gap year. I have the look just without having to go to Thailand, and I could buy several tickets for what it cost me at that price.

Number 5: pack small. When travelling, you do not want bulky clothes. Firstly you’ll have to carry them and secondly you’ll have to repack them at the end which is a lot harder when they’ve doubled in size. These do not change, they roll up small and they love a packing cube. Another reason I love Tom’ Trunks.

Number 6: compliments. Now I’m not a vain person but I do love someone saying they like my trousers because it gives me the opportunity to talk about my favourite subject more. Boring I know. If I can convert one more person to TT’s then I know I’ve done a good job.

Number 7: durable. They last, no complaints to my pairs so far and one was even second hand The sports leggings I have had for a month are already worse for wear with several holes: TT have had a lot more use and nothing. Quality not quantity.

Number 8: every day is a beach day. Want to feel like you’re in the Amalfi coast, Thailand, the Bahamas? Boom Tom’s Trunks you’ve got the problem sorted. How you may ask without buying a ticket? Wear your trunks.

Number 9: appropriate for every occasion. Have I worn them clubbing, yes. Have they been to coffee shops, bars, restaurants, restrooms etc. The list is endless. Take them camping, take them swimming, on holiday you name it.

Number 10: discount. Do toms do discount, yes yes they do? Best way to find it is to search Instagram tagged pictures for one of their ambassadors who will have dutifully left their code in the comments.
